GP Ultrasound UK
Extend your diagnostic capability by developing new skills in the emerging field of focused GP Ultrasound.
Over the last 5 years clinicians in specialties such as Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Rheumatology and Sports Medicine have recognised the value of diagnostic ultrasound within their areas of practice. Recognition by the Royal College of Radiology of this trend led to the publication of new guidelines in 2005. Manufacturers of ultrasound equipment have responded to this shift in service provision by developing lower cost and more portable equipment.
Ultrasound is now available in primary care. GPs can use their own machines to screen for aortic aneurysm, diagnose gall stones and deep vein thrombosis. And this is only the begining!!!
GP Ultrasound UK provide a course tailored to the needs of primary care physicians. We have many years of experience in running ultrasound courses for non-radiologists, having developed the now internationally recognised course in Emergency Ultrasound in 2003.
The faculty of GP Ultrasound UK include GPs, Emergency Physicians and Radiologists. All of whom bring many years of experience of using and teaching Ultrasound.
